The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management says it has fully removed a sunken crane from the Providence River.
Crews cut through the crane cab with a special diamond cutter on Friday night and finished removing it from the water on Saturday morning.
The barge remains under water and crews are expected to remove it from the river in the next couple of weeks.
The removal project is funded by a 1-point-5-million-dollar grant from the NOAA Marine Debris Program.
