Providence Mayor Brett Smiley celebrated the second complete year of his administration on Thursday, saying it was a year of meaningful progress that sets the city on a clear path forward.
The Mayor says that the city's police department has taken more than 300 illegal guns off the streets. And he says that 25 new park projects were completed.
Smiley says Providence has enhanced public safety, improved local infrastructure, invested in education and climate resiliency and modernized city services to build a more resilient and vibrant city.
