Adele is powering through a infection that she said is so painful that it's actually "worse than childbirth."

Speaking to the audience during her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday (October 25), the "Hello" singer revealed that has has been "a bit deaf" and experiencing some temporary hearing loss while dealing with an ear infection, per People.

"I actually have an ear infection, which is pretty grim. I've never had an ear infection before," she said. "It is the most painful thing that has ever, ever happened to me in my life — it was worse than childbirth."

Adele told the crowd that the infection was caused by a "rare water bacteria" that has been hard to treat, admitting that she had been on "the wrong antibiotics for a few days" before starting a new medication that has proven to be much better for her and "started to work."

Fortunately, the "Easy on Me" singer appears to be on the mend and is "no longer in pain" even while she continues to deal with lingering symptoms. However, she refused to let that keep her away from the stage and performing for her fans, exclaiming, "no way I was missing the f---ing show."

It's a good thing, too, that she didn't miss out on her weekend shows as one of her musical idols — Celine Dion — was also in the crowd to watch the hitmaker perform on Saturday, causing her to burst into tears. After the show, Adele penned a heartfelt note to the legendary musician explaining how "words will never sum up what you mean to me."
