Dionne Warwick Reacts To Ego Nwodim's Hilarious 'SNL' Parody Sketch

Dionne Warwick received quite the birthday surprise from Saturday Night Live.

For the comedy sketch program's Saturday (December 14) show, which fell on the legendary singer's 80th birthday, it paid tribute to the new queen of Twitter with an entire parody sketch called the “Dionne Warwick Talk Show” that highlighted her latest viral tweets. (Dionne has been owning the social media platform in recent weeks with her hilarious jabs at celebrities)

“One last question Harry Styles,” SNL cast member Ego Nwodim said in the sketch as she portrayed Dionne. “Why is Wendy Williams being a b*tch to me? She started beefing and now she’s acting like she can’t finish.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t know who Wendy Williams is,” Harry, who was played by SNL host Timothée Chalamet, responded.

“Yeah, I knew I liked your a**," Dionne hilariously replied.

The interaction was in reference to Dionne and Wendy's recent back-and-forth of words after Wendy made comments about Dionne's new social media presence on her talk show.

Clearly impressed by Ego's impersonation of her, as well as the sketch as a whole, Dionne took to Twitter shortly after the parody aired and thanked Ego for the "hilarious birthday gift."

"Thank you, @nbcsnl. That young lady’s impression of me was very good," she wrote. "You did a wonderful job, baby. You are a star."

Ego later reacted to Dionne's kind tweets, responding on Twitter: "Tweets are not my own but they are making me cry, and thus, have found their way to main. Extremely touched by Ms. Dionne’s kindness and generosity of spirit. so glad I did her proud 🙏🏾."

As fans know, Dionne's first viral tweets began with her poking fun at Chance The Rapper and The Weeknd's stage names. After both artists responded to the tweets by praising Dionne for her work, and, of course, laughing at her funny jokes, they decided to hop on Dionne's latest track.

"It looks like @theweeknd and @chancetherapper are joining me [on my new song "Nothing's Impossible"], she tweeted on Monday (December 14). "Who’s next?"
